Good, New England style golf course. Not fancy but reasonably well maintained. Overall good deal at $20 for 9. Open early so you can sneak in a round before work.

Had a great time playing here with my son, nice 9 hole course. Owner was very nice to us and cant wait to return!!

Wow it could be the worst course I ever played. It's a shame too. Several very affordable public golf courses have closed recently. Owners retired. Plant some grass. Pull some weeds. Rake some traps. An empty field anywhere would rival this course.

Not only is this by far the worst course I've played all year, but Swanson Meadows might be the worst course I've ever played in my life. We spent more time waiting on the gravel tee boxes than we did playing golf. After spending 45 minutes getting through two holes, I called the pro shop to see if we could get reimbursed if we left. They told me they could give me a rain check, but I never want to come back so we continued on... There was no difference from the fairway to the greens. Each green had craters throughout and weeds growing on every inch. It was almost impossible to putt, as you never knew where the ball would end up when rolling through the thick, unmanicured grass. The bunkers and fairways were indistinguishable. Some bunkers had more grass and weeds growing than the fairway/greens. It was almost comical. The fairways were completely bare, with dirt patches throughout each hole. The rough was just thick crabgrass and weeds... We paid $25/pp for 9 holes, walking. For the same price, you could go up the road to Trull Brook and play somewhere that actually resembles a real golf course. I could continue on, but I will let the posted photos do the talking... This course definitely needs work in places (namely the weedy bunkers), but I think it's greatly improved over some of the previous reviews. The greens were in decent shape, some marks and cuts, but overall fully green and consistent. Holes are relatively interesting, and I like the use of natural rock in places. Could use a par 5, but it is what it is. I think it's definitely worth the 24$ I paid for a pre-work 9 hole round.
